Love your Coachella pics! The whole music festival vibe has its own style that has become very mainstream.
I just road home from dinner on DQ (Sumako's BF) new reved up vespa. I have been on a vespa before but weaving through the streets of NYC is a whole new experience!
Anyways I digress....
The other night I was having dinner at the Standard Grill with Joanna and Maggie and we had one eye catching dessert! "The Deal Closer" as it is named is chocolate mousse with dark chocolate cake bits with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top. It is so big that they serve it with two spatulas. We did not finish it, thank goodness! But it was highly enjoyable!
Mousse sounds taste light and airy but most of the time its base is heavy cream! I got to thinking how can I make a "healthier" version at home that also doesn't take much time. I alternated layers of one part Jello Chocolate Pudding and 1 part Jello Mousse Temptations. The two different textures helped give dimension. You can use cool whip on top to serve as your whipped cream replacement. Then sprinkle dark chocolate chips (that have been in the freezer) on top. Viola your at home deal closer.
