My quick-fix faux-tan solution before weekend in Vegas...

Dear Margaret,

Unfortunately I didn't have time to get an airbrush tan before leaving tomorrow for a Vegas Bachelorette party (which I highly recommend.. makes you look 5-10 pounds lighter, as you already know), so I did a make-shift one at home... much cheaper this way too. Here are the steps:

Step 1: (2 days before event) Shave and exfoliate dead skin cells in the shower (I use these cheap facial cleansing sponges on my whole body from Walgreen's).

Step 2: Lather up damp skin with a very rich moisturizing lotion (I prefer "Body Shop Olive Body Butter").

Step 3: About 1 minute after, I apply "L'oreal Sublime Bronze self-tanning gel" all over my body in circular motion (just like you would do with regular lotion). It dries very quickly and doesn't streak! After it dries (about a minute) I reapply more lotion.. just because it's so dry here in Phoenix.

...repeat steps 2 and 3 the day before event.

Step 4: Right before you go out, use your regular lotion all over your body (hydrated skin looks way better than dry). Then spray "Sally Hanson Airbrush Legs"into your hands and rub over your legs to desired darkness. It dries super quick and is water resistant so it won't melt creepily off your body:) Lastly, apply a bronzing shimmer stick on legs and arms. I bought this cheap one at Walgreen's but I know Micheal Kors makes a great one too available at Sephora. I plan on putting this little deodorant looking bronzer in my purse for nights out in Vegas when I feel like I need a little extra shimmer:)

*Hopefully I will now fit in by the pool and up in da club:)

xo,

Kara

The tanning Products.. all available at Walgreen's Pharmacy (accept for the Body Butter, available at The Body Shop
