Met Gala Part 2

Dear Kara,

I love your Gala picks. The Met's exhibit is titled Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. The exhibit is a bit abstract and is comprised by juxtaposing the two designers in different mediums to imply what it would have been like if they met. Prada we all know but Schiaparelli was an Italian designer that was most notably known for her collaborations with Salvador Dahli. Chanel was considered her greatest rival. The exhibit goes from May 10th- August 10th. The exhibit itself is always highly influential in the fashion world

I can't help but have a few more picks from the night to add.

I love Beyonce's Givenchy purple and black peak-a-boo dress. The dress took over 350 hours to make! I would also add Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney. The long sleeve dress is reminiscent of the 30's (Schiaperelli's time) and looks elegant. Lastly, Claire Danes in J. Mendel gorgeous white gown. Her hair and makeup look perfect! One thing I noticed is several people's hair and make-up wasn't cohesive with their dress. I also noticed lots of people going for dark burgundy lipstick, I don't particularly like that trend.
