The truth about Spicy Tuna....

Dear Kara,

So good to see you this weekend at Megan's wedding. It was a blast and I miss you already.

Yesterday Katie Hawn sent me an interesting article about spicy tuna rolls. I know how you love your fish. (jk) Apparently the tuna used for spicy tuna rolls is tuna scrape and is of lower grade than the regular tuna. Scrape means it is the leftover tuna on the bones and machines are used to scrape it off. The tuna is then mixed with other fish, minced and frozen. It goes untreated, unlike other fish. This tuna has been linked to thousands of salmonella poisoning cases. Net net I don't think I'll be eating spicy tuna rolls for awhile.
