Weekend away Mystic CT

Dear Kara,

Your Utah trip sounds amazing! I have never been to a place like that and I am sure I would love it.

Michael and I have vowed that every weekend this Summer we want to spend away.  (Summer heat in the city gets disgusting, especially with the dogs.) Most weekends we'll be at his family's home in Amagansett (A part of the Hamptons) but this weekend it was rented by one of Elvis Castello's band members. Instead we decided to take an adventure to Mystic, CT. The Mystic, as in one of the best movies ever, Mystic Pizza. I also learned that New England = the land of SAAB & Suburu cars. The traffic was horrendous so we didn't end up getting in till about ten pm on Friday night. Saturday we rented a children's bike caddy and took a lovely bike ride around the area with Moses and Delia in tow. The New England area was just beautiful and we had great weather. After our bike ride we took a walk down the nature trail that bordered our hotel, The Inn at Mystic. By the time we finished that excursion we were dying for a swim. We took a dip in the ocean and the dogs got their toes wet. They had already taken a full on swim in a pond earlier. That night we had lobster crepes, clam chowder and stuffed lobster at the hotel.
