Best Balanced Post-Workout High Protein Green Smoothie:

Dear Margaret,

I wish I had a Victoria's Secret  body.. I'll definitely have to try this Soul Cycle:) Speaking of working out, I made the best "post workout" protein shake the other day that kept me satisfied for hours.. plus it's completely balanced with: healthy fats (necessary for absorption of nutrients), clean lean protein (necessary for muscle recovery after workouts), fruit (banana-potassium good for working out), a green vegetable (kale or spinach-so good for you all around), and calcium+vitamin D (milk or almond milk- essential nutrients). Plus, as an added bonus, it tastes amazing and you can't taste the "green". Here's the recipe.. you have to try it!

-1 1/2 Tablespoons Rice Vanilla Protein Powder (I use NutriBiotic brand)
-2 teaspoons or more of organic peanut or almond butter
-1/2 medium banana
-1+ cup almond milk or regular milk of choice (I use Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Unsweetened Original)
-1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
-handful or more of kale or spinach
..throw all ingredients in a blender with some ice and add more milk as needed.. and that's it! So delicious and nutritious:)
